The Kit is Here!

It seemed like forever, but I FINALLY received my kit from South Hill Designs!  I was like a little kid at Christmas when I saw the box on my doorstep.  I practically ran inside and opened it up.  South Hill does an excellent job of making every experience special, even opening the box.  Once you open your kit, the inside of the box is beautifully organized and decorated. 

I immediately opened the jewelry boxes and put my locket together (and proudly wore it out to dinner that night!)  Along with the locket that came with the kit, I also ordered another locket that I could design myself (you don't get to choose what comes with the kit).  For my personal locket, I chose the tree of life screen and the garnet birthstone charm.

 I was impressed with the resources that were included in the kit, such as the catalogs and fliers.  The one thing that I was a little disappointed about was the business cards.  I had assumed that my website/username would be printed on the cards, however you have to hand write your own information in.
All in all, I'm very excited to begin selling!

I am a Seller!

Hello blogging world!  My name is Melissa and I recently became an Independent Artist with South Hill Designs.  I am beyond excited to start my new venture.  I love the idea of "sharing your story" through the use of jewelry.  After a ton of research I decided on South Hill Designs for the following reasons:

• low start up fees (I paid $60).  My plan is to do this part time for now so I ordered the basic plan.
• great reputation
• no minimum selling requirements = no pressure!
• it's fun!
